I am very happily married and a father of 2 amazing children.  I am a Bible-believing Christian and a committed member of my local Church.  I am the oldest child of 5 and a proper South Londoner, even if I do pronounce most of my T’s.  Aside from Jesus, the main person in my life is my breathtaking wife who is my endless source of encouragement.  I am passionate about restoring community, cross-generational respect and personal responsibility, and repairing the family unit, which I believe are all important aspects of Gods Kingdom.  As well as spilling my mind online, I am a structural BIM Technician and Lead a team in a busy office in London from the 27th floor of a tall tower (which is as fun as it sounds) and I love words.  I have been called a geek, which I vehemently denied for some time, and then embraced.  I refuse to call my Sister in Law Murgatroyd, she is in her mid-30’s and should know better.

The blog:
I guess the purpose of this blog is two-fold

  1. It is for me to pour out what’s going on behind my forehead.  A portion of what I write will be an online journal I suppose, about my journey through life, incorporating all the twists and turns, and will reflect what makes me tick.  And while this is a kind of therapy, it’s also my aim that my personal ramblings will be helpful for other people in a similar situations.  I’d also like to be entertaining, but we’ll see how that goes.
  2. It is also to be a firing range to shoot down the targets of a corrupted world.  I can’t promise I’ll always be nice, but I will be as honest as I can be.  I may get into trouble with The Man, cause a minor e-skirmish, or spark a laughing pandemic, but I will be honest darn it.  Whilst this is personal, I also have a lot to say about a lot of things, as though I have a message inside that needs to get out – walls to tear down, wrongs to right, patterns to change or destroy, and I do all of this from the context of my Christian faith.  I hope that my assault on the world will be met with approval, rage and a few raised eyebrows.

I’d love to hear your thoughts, input, criticisms, help, ideas and woes because, whilst this is me, I can’t change me or the world without you.

  1. Good Sunday! It’s Andi here, from Double Dose of Special. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for taking the time to comment on my guest post on Our Typical Life. I appreciate that you were willing to share your thoughts with me, and that my post touched you in some small way. Please come over and visit me on my blog anytime.

    1. No problem. I think it’s important to encourage and share where somebodies mental over flow is helpful/insightful/touching. It’s also of utmost importance to be honest in an increasingly superficial world. You seem to be doing an amazing job – keep it up!
